Over dit werk
A dark human profile rises out of weathered blue teal planks, ringed in glowing copper and threaded with bronze ribbon, rivets and clock gears.
The idea is old and simple: a mind built the way a machine is built, with visible parts, visible wear and nothing hidden behind a clean case. Polished steampunk always looks like fancy dress, so the timber was left rough and the metal left tarnished, because salvage reads as something that has been running a long time.
The gears are placed, not scattered. They run where a thought would travel, along the jaw and up behind the temple. Decoration spread evenly across a picture is wallpaper; placement is what makes it design.
